Katie began dancing at Karen Sachs Academy of Dance at just 3 years old and started student teaching and working in Dance Rags at age 16. Growing up in the studio with Ms. Karen as a role model, Katie is incredibly grateful to now continue that legacy as co-owner alongside Jessica DeCarlo.

Katie works full time at the studio and teaches movement and dance to all ages, from toddlers through adults. She is passionate about leading, directing, teaching, choreographing, and creating a welcoming environment where every dancer feels encouraged, supported, and at home regardless of age, experience, or goals.

Recently, Katie has also taken up salsa dancing and is excited to continue pursuing new learning and performance opportunities that challenge and inspire her as both a dancer and teacher.
