What if I fail? Oh, my darling, what if you fly?
KSAD Company 2023-2024
Our award-winning Karen Sachs Academy of Dance competition team is perfect for dancers who love to dance, perform, express, learn, and are willing to be challenged. Open-minded dancers who consistently attend class, are open to feedback, are comfortable exploring movement, and are eager to work hard to accomplish their goals will go far. At KSAD, teachers strive to foster a positive and safe environment where dancers can be pushed in performance, technique, and discipline to grow their confidence in themselves and their dance training.

Auditions for the 2023-2024 season are coming up June 6th-June 8th. If our KSAD directors and teachers see your dancer is ready to move on to the next step, you will receive an email from us on Friday, June 9th, inviting your dancer to join us for the intensive the following week, June 12th - June 16th. Both the audition and intensive must be completed to fulfill our audition requirement.

Following the intensive, dancers will be mailed a final letter either recommending classes to help them meet their goals or inviting dancers into dance routines that will compete come spring. Dancers can accept or decline routines they are invited to join. The requirements per routine will be listed in the invitation to help families make decisions best for them and their dancer. Some students commit to one competition routine, while others commit to multiple. It never matters to us how much you commit to - we want to see your dancer succeed, and we support the decisions made to do so, especially if it's your first year joining the team or you have a younger dancer.

We know committing can be overwhelming, but we aim to foster and support each dancer's journey. We thank you for choosing us and entrusting your child with us and our program. If you have any questions, please feel free to talk to your teacher or us directly.
